When black and white’s your base? Anything’s possible. Here are some incredibly easy options. Simple is always the way I lean when it comes to outfits.

On a side note, I finally took the plunge and bought my first tops from ASOS a couple of weeks ago (delayed, I know) and I love them! I can now safely say I’m beginning to understand why online shopping is rather… addictive.

Titled The Enchanting Life of Elin Kling and enchanting it is. She’s living a dream (and in outfits I love!) So crazy inspired.

Welcome to the second half of 2012 and Happy 50th Independence Day, Samoa - my tummy most certainly enjoyed celebrating you today at our office lunch party.

Dessert eye candy courtesy of Pinterest. I’m not the must-have-dessert-every-night kind of gal but when I do need that kick, here are some of my faves - Bailey’s cheesecake, tiramisu, pistachio gelato and Mum’s sticky date pudding topped with whipped cream.

A fully black and white outfit, with zero apologies, for our office move today. Happy Tuesday!

The sky was on fire tonight and it was completely stunning. He is, by far, the most skillful artist.

Today it was announced that Aotea Square is going to be turned into an ice skating rink for winter. I am so crazy excited. High up on the bucket list is a white Christmas in New York and this just brings the dream that much closer while I save up, and gives me one more reason to not mind the drops in temperature. Made my day after a slightly stressful work afternoon!

Today was overdue catch up over brunch at a cute French deli day. Working full time means I haven’t the time I used to to explore all the quaint independent cafes popping up in tucked away corners. Something I’m a tad bummed about, I’ll admit.

This wasn’t our planned destination but being greeted immediately by lovely, smooth, genuine French accents and touches of rustic, I knew straight away I’d be just fine to have a morning in slow motion there.

We ordered flat whites and the sandwich of the day, smoked ham, creamy but sharp french cheese and tomatoes in freshly-baked and toasted baguette, in our case, and made our way to wooden tables amongst a huge range of French wine in the winery upstairs to enjoy a couple of hours of non-stop conversation. Girls.

Strong, smooth coffee (I didn’t even mind that it wasn’t soy - the sugar got a miss too!) and fresh, delicious food. Such a welcome change from my usual brunch go-to (eggs florentine/benedict with a mocha). C’est Fromage has a new devotee in me and the next time I’ve got a morning off, you know where I’ll be - and most likely with one of their tempting lemon tarts thrown in the mix too!

Anyone who knows me knows that on any given time they see me, there’s a 98% chance I’m sporting neutrals. They’re just so easy! I’ve had my spontaneous colour moments + I’m (still) working on weaving more into my outfit diet but chuck an emergency get-dressed-in-2-minutes at me, and neutrals will always be the way to go.

Whipped up one of my foolproof favourites for lunch yesterday - cous cous.

I was saving space for Korean BBQ that night and wanted something light. So the sun-dried tomatoes and red onions got a miss and I stuck with pan-fried zucchini and button mushrooms, coriander, tomato, sweet corn kernels, olive oil and sea salt. Gets me every time.

It’s finally the weekend! Boy, did this one take it’s sweet time coming. Time for this newly-minted 22 year old to put her feet up and hang out with her Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Twitter For Good and hugely backed-up Google Reader.

{Birthday 2012} Kicked off the festivities with the family last night at Tasca, Newmarket. My first time having Spanish food and oh boy, I loved it. Favourite of the night? The seafood paella - creamy but not overpowering, homey and the punch of lemon just took the dish to a whole new level.

What made the whole experience even more ‘Spanish’ was sitting at the table next to the owner’s where people were dining, talking loudly, and then casually walking into the kitchen with their dishes.

If you’re popping through Auckland any time soon (and, like we did, manage to catch an online voucher), I’d recommend Tasca on Nuffield Street in a heartbeat!

Mood lighting meant dark photos but here we go - what we ate: Lahmajun, Baby chicken, Seafood paella, Greek meatballs and Linguini al Mariscos.

In the last couple of weeks, we’ve had camp, Dad’s big 60th birthday bash, graduation, a French market visit, Starbucks, new shoes, learning how to drive a manual car (too complicated, too much fun) and Avengers excitement. (How good was that movie?! One of the few I’m going to pay to watch again.) Autumn also decided to make a sudden grand entrance on graduation day - freezing cold with glorious, sunny blue skies. And now, birthday week has come and this girl is excited!

Oh, sweet, sweet music.

Do yourself a favor - download this album for free, flick on some fairy lights, lie in bed and listen to these sweet, sweet sounds.

Best part? Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano are total God-lovers too. Perfect.

Post-camp sore body, video-editing time. Have just been scrolling through the huge amount of footage I took over the last weekend at church camp + not gonna lie, crazy excited about this upcoming video.

Here’s a little colour symphony for your eyes in the meantime.

Okay, having a child is way way off in the future but how stinkin’ gorgeous are these nurseries? Definitely a white-wash fan. Noted.
